I have experience teaching from a young age, where I was part of a non-profit teaching organisation called ‘Social Via’. I was responsible for organising lessons for under-privileged children from nearby neighbourhoods, as well taking a teaching-centred role. We covered subjects like Biology and English, and we had to cover specific content set by the national teaching organisation – this gave me priceless experience teaching and dealing with students, as well as a deeper understanding of the impact a teacher/tutor may have on the student’s goals and aspirations.
