During the pandemic of 2020/21, private tuition has grown substantially, with more and more students of all ages and abilities looking for additional help and support with their subjects.
We believe that every student deserves to have the opportunity to achieve their full potential and progress and develop – so Central Tutors was launched by Jamie Harrower with the aim to create high-quality revision content including cheat sheets, revision notes and video tutorials.
In addition, we also offer 1 to 1 tutoring, group sessions and masterclasses in the following subjects and levels, in the Scottish Education Curriculum for Excellence:
- SQA National 5 Maths
- SQA National 5 Chemistry
- SQA National 5 Biology
- SQA Higher Maths
- SQA Higher Chemistry
- SQA Higher Biology
1 to 1 sessions are tailored specifically to the students’ needs and are a great way of building confidence and ability, while groups sessions are excellent for building a community and sharing the same goal, which helps drives the students forward together. The masterclasses involve 3 live weekly sessions, with additional video content and revision notes for the students to practice specific examples. The emphasis in all these methods of learning is placed on revision for the final exam, where SQA exam level questions will be covered during sessions.
Central Tutors long-term goal is to establish itself as an educational resource, but also to find high-quality education maths and science subject. Often students are in search of SQA past paper style questions and in-depth solutions to exam past papers. Central Tutors will be working towards offering this resource on our site.
